From Humble Beginnings
Knabe, Brown and Szaller Co. LPA was founded by Jim Szaller in 1979. Kenneth J. Knabe joined the firm in the early 90’s. Jim and Kenneth both grew up on numbered streets in the same neighborhood on Cleveland’s west side. Jim’s father was a postal worker, his mother a realtor. Ken’s father was a salesman for Purex soap products, his mother an artist and school secretary at St. Vincent De Paul school where both Kenneth and Jim attended.This Firm built a national reputation based on its steadfast focus on representing those injured by unsafe drivers and products. Jim’s accolades and honors achieved in his distinguished 45 year career are too numerous to mention. Suffice it to say, he was always at the top of his profession.
Kenneth Knabe is not only a very experienced and accomplished Personal Injury Trial Lawyer in his own right, he is also an avid cyclist, supporter and safety advocate. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Cincinnati and Cum Laude (top 7%) from his law school class at Cleveland Marshall College of Law. After honing his trial skills as a Cuyahoga County Assistant Prosecutor, he entered private practice advocating and devoting his practice to representing for those seriously injured or killed by unsafe drivers. He is a former President of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys, has lectured on personal injury and bicycle law throughout Ohio, and has appeared in numerous newspapers and published court decisions.
